Obelisk Punishments
Choose what happens to someone caught posting spam images, and how long it lasts.
Punishment type
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mute (default) | A Discord timeout lasting the mute duration (default 7 days, maximum 28 days). The member is listed in /list_muted and can appeal. |
| Timeout | A Discord timeout for the timeout duration (default 60 minutes). |
| Kick | Removes the member from the server. |
| Ban | Bans the member. |
| Progressive | Escalates per offense: 1st offense mute, 2nd timeout, 3rd and later kick (each step is configurable). |
One punishment per burst
When someone floods several spam messages at once, or during a raid, Obelisk applies one punishment (the final step of your ladder) instead of stacking actions, and removes the messages in bulk. Messages are still removed even if a punishment was already applied moments ago.
Automod filters use their own action (see Automod).
Undoing a punishment
Use /unmute, or approve the member’s appeal. The member gets a DM when unmuted.
