Obelisk Docs
Introduction

Who Can Use Commands

Obelisk checks who you are before every staff command.

Default access

  • Server owner can use every server command.
  • Administrator can use every server command.
  • Manage Server can use most commands (moderation, trusted list, lockdown, honeypot settings and most backup commands). A few commands that change the whole server need the owner or Administrator: /setup, /backup_restore, /fix_permissions and /selftest.
  • Everyone can use /appeal, which only works if you have an active punishment in that server.

Some commands are hidden from regular members by default in Discord. Server admins can change who sees them under Server Settings → Integrations → Obelisk, but Obelisk still checks permissions when the command runs.

Staff permits

Obelisk can also give specific staff roles access to certain commands without Discord-level permissions. These permits cover:

PermitCommands
Review appeals/approve_appeal, /deny_appeal
Unmute/unmute
List muted users/list_muted
Check an image/check_image, /image_add
Lockdown command/lockdown
Panic mode/panic, /panic_end
Add to / remove from / view the trusted list/whitelist_add, /whitelist_add_id, /whitelist_remove, /whitelist_list
Moderation permits (mod_ban, mod_kick, mod_timeout, mod_warn, mod_cases)/ban, /unban, /kick, /timeout, /untimeout, /warn, /warnings, /warnings_clear, /case, /case_reason

Permits can also make a role immune to individual filters (image spam matching, word blacklist, link blacklist, invite links, malicious links, NSFW links, anti-spam, unlisted webhooks, join gate, lockdown joins).

Permits are edited from the dashboard. Dashboard — coming soon.
